Since launching in 2020, Cocktailored have been on a growth trajectory to expand their assortment and improve their margins, with significant goals for the coming years.
When Cocktailored was founded, the business opened a traditional bank account with a debit card. As a young ecommerce brand, these came with growth impending challenges.
“Our old debit card from the traditional bank got locked due to high ad spend,” says Petter Warnhammar, CEO and Co-Founder of Cocktailored. “Resolving this could take a week which made it really hard to scale.”
Cocktailored’s bank didn’t understand how urgent it was to switch their ads back on, nor the impact it can have on an ecommerce business. To resolve a locked card, Petter and his co-founder Fredrik had to receive and coordinate signing physical papers, which took up precious time that could otherwise be spent acquiring customers.
“If our bank cut the funding during a really good week on Facebook Ads, that created a big loss of potential revenue,” says Petter.
On top of that, data on money in and out was scattered. As a result, Cocktailored didn’t have a clear understanding of their cash flow.
When Petter heard Juni’s CEO and Co-Founder Samir El-Sabini on a podcast, he found an alternative to traditional banks: a solution that truly understands the needs of ecommerce businesses.
“Due to our growth, we're investing a lot in advertising. Now, with Juni, we have no issues with our spend. And the cashback is a great boost too,” says Petter.
Since using Juni, Cocktailored have felt the benefits of using Juni cards to manage their transactions. Not only are they running ads without any interruptions, but they have also created a better way of managing their expenses and doing their bookkeeping.
With ad spend across Facebook Ads, Google Ads and Pinterest, SaaS spend on Shopify and Klaviyo, and paying their suppliers, Cocktailored needs to keep track for accurate bookkeeping. Now, they have one card for media buying, and one for SaaS spend, and can create as many cards as they need to manage their expenses efficiently.
“Cards for different types of transactions have made it easy to do our bookkeeping, as we have a lot of transactions in and out,” says Petter. “I love using the cards and feel like we actually make something out of using them. It's been a very seamless experience so far.”
Cocktailored have integrated their bank account, Paypal and Shopify to get a comprehensive overview of their transactions, to have the right data at their fingertips to do their end-of-month bookkeeping in Fortnox.
Cocktailored gained more than just smarter spend management and fully integrated financial tools from Juni. The combination of Juni Capital and cashback has made a real difference to the bottom line of this growing business, making Juni the partner Cocktailored needed to improve their profitability.
“When it comes to profitability, every small percentage is contributing to growing the business. With Juni, the credit gives us room to scale and our margins are boosted with cashback on debit spend,” says Petter.
With seamless integrations, a better eye over their finances and a cash flow boost, Cocktailored have the financial overview they need to continue on their growth trajectory – without any disruptions to their ad spend.
